GRAPHIC=Fire A couple and their teenage son

are without a home tonight...and
several family pets are missing --
feared dead after a house fire in
Roanoke County.

Crews received the call around
six o'clock.

When they arrived, heavy smoke
and flames were coming from this home
on Nicholas Hill Lane in the North
Lakes subdivision near Peters Creek and
Cove Roads.

Brisk winds helped fan the
flames, it took crews about forty
minutes to get it under control. The
homes on each side suffered minor
damage too.

The home is considered a total
loss, but so far, no damage estimates
are available.

Fire investigators have not ruled
on a cause.

intoxication....now it's a different
story....We're talking about the
accident that claimed the lives of a
Salem couple in January.

Today It turned out Jeremy Scott Terry
had been drinking... enough to put him
in a blood-alcohol range between
point-1-8 and point-2-3. That's about
three times the legal limit.

Except for that, he was doing
nothing wrong. Witnesses said he wasn't

speeding...not driving erratically.

leads into the homicide of a local
minister.

Nancy Copin died from blunt force
trauma.

It happened in the Snow Creek
area of Franklin County.

Investigators have been at her
home for two days gathering evidence.

They first learned there was a
problem Thursday morning.

That's when three members of her

Church went to check on her after she
didn't show up for midweek service.

scaling back their search for a missing
boater.

State and local agencies say
they've done everything they're
equipped to do in the search for 44-
year- old David Reynolds.

the area where a boat overturned and
sank on Wednesday.

A state police helicopter

shoreline and open water.

continue to look for Reynolds.

weighing in on a gun controversy that
started with the Roanoke Times.

names and addresses of all concealed
weapon permit holders in the state.

They got the list from the State
Police through a Freedom of Information
Act request.

The story angered some gun owners
and spurred Delegate Dave Nutter to get

Bob McDonnell says the State Police
should not have released the personal

collided near William Fleming High
School in Roanoke this morning.

Highland Farm Road.

No one was injured.

The bus driver said a car coming
the other direction crossed the center
line.

The bus driver moved as far off
the road as possible, but the car
clipped the front bumper and was
seriously damaged.

The driver of the car was
charged with failure to maintain
control.

The five children were
transferred to another bus and went on
to Preston Park Elementary.

and its bringing more than a hundred
new jobs.

And a local youth group has found
a unique way to remember this day.

17 members from the Life Church
youth group walked around South Roanoke
with crosses on their backs.

They're recreating the walk Jesus
took before dying on the cross.

The group made the crosses out of
wooden boards complete with wheels on
the bottom.

The teens covered about 13 miles
today over a six hour period.

They tried to get him a decade ago
