THIS UNITED NATIONS GLOBAL WARMING

CLIMATE CHANGE POSES MAJOR THREATS TO
THE PLANET... AND PEOPLE ON EVERY

PEOPLE IN POOR COUNTRIES WILL BE THE
MOST AFFECTED AS THE CLIMATE WARMS

OVER THE NEXT 100-YEARS.

PARTS OF SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA WILL GET

AND, LOW-LYING AREAS OF ASIA WILL BE

(SOT: Rajendra Pachauri / Climate

of the poor in the world who are going
to be worst hit -- least able to

adapt."

BUT RICH COUNTRIES WILL BE HIT HARD,
AS WELL. THE REPORT WARNS OF A

BIGGER RISK OF BRUSH FIRES IN
CALIFORNIA. INSECT INFESTATIONS. AND

MORE FREQUENT HEAT WAVES IN SOME U-S
CITIES.

WHAT'S CAUSING IT? THE REPORT BLAMES A
LARGE PART OF GLOBAL WARMING ON

HUMANS AND THE AMOUNT OF GREENHOUSE
GASSES THEY SEND INTO THE

ATMOSPHERE, BY BURNING FOSSIL FUELS.

(STANDUP BRIDGE: Susan Roberts / CBS

GRAPHIC=MASTERS The Masters began yesterday.

Arnold Palmer - the four time
Masters champ - and the most popular

player ever - stepped up to the first
tee and hit the first shot of the
tournament - a ceremonial tee shot.

With it came back a flood of
memories for the sentimental king of
the sport.

USA Network The tradition of having a former :00 player hit the first shot had been
suspended since 2002, when Hot Spring's
own Sam Snead passed away.

Defending champ Phil finished
his first round with a 76 - that's four
over par.

Tiger Woods shot a one over 73 -
but the scores were pretty high across
the board yesterday, with only 9 scores
under par.

Bob Huggins, a Morgantown native
and WVU graduate, will leave Kansas
State and return home to coach the
Mountaineers - with the official
announcement set for today.

Huggins led Kansas State to the
N-I-T this past season, but he is
leaving the program after only one
season.

Huggins also won 399 games in 16
seasons at Cincinnati before resigning
under pressure in August 2005 after a
highly- publicized D-U-I arrest.

commitment from Michael Beasley - the

best high school player in the nation.

Beasly says he's unsure if he
will still go to Kansas State or
possibly ask for a release to look
elsewhere for a school.

announced yesterday that he is staying
with the Gators and turning down the
chance to coach at Kentucky.

Donovan has two years left on a
contract that pays him $1 point 7
million a season.

That's in the process of being
beefed up and renegotiated.

But he says at the end of the
day, the decision to stay came down to
more than just money.
