Saunders died after he lost control of
his patrol car and crashed into trees
on Johnson Mountain Road near
Huddleston.

Tuesday Saunders was heading to a high :05 speed chase to help other deputies.

Prosecutors have charged the
woman who started the pursuit with
second degree murder.

Heather Lynn Bush was not at the
scene of Saunder's crash, but officials
say it was her actions that led to the
deputy's death.

braved the elements with Clemson today
at English Field. The 16th ranked
Tigers beat the Hokies 6-3, in the
continuation of Friday night's game.
In game number 2, Clemson won 8 to 5.

One pleasant surprise for the
Hokies this season has been outfielder
Nate Parks. Parks had a hit and RBI

today. The Glenvar grad is hitting
.323 on the season. He's also 25 for
29 in stolen base attempts.

well. The Avalanche has postponed
tonight's game with Frederick. It will
be made up as part of a doubleheader on
May 24th. Salem is off tomorrow before
embarking on a 7 day road trip.

Late Model champ at South Boston. His
day in the Richard Childress ride was a
short one.

Cautions breed cautions and just
a few laps later, Jason Leffler tangled
with Boris Said at nearly the same spot
on the track to bring out another
yellow flag.

Then it's Sam Hornish, trading
some paint with Johnny Sauter. Sauter
was a lot worse for the wear after that
incident.

In the end, Carl Edwards was
strong. He laid the hammer down and
took the checkered flag for his 2nd
Busch win of the season. David
Reutimann came home 2nd.

winding down at Augusta National where
it was moving day today. Tiger Woods
is certainly moving up the leaderboard.
Tiger shot an even par 72 today and
sits at plus 3 overall. Stuart Appleby
is the leader on the course at 1-under
overall. Justin Rose, Jerry Kelly, and
Vaughan Taylor are all three shots
back. Second round co-leaders Tim
Clark and Brett Wetterich have
struggled throughout the day. We'l
