this evening. 65 year old Jonathan
Utin was indicted by a Montgomery
County grand

jury this afternoon on 10 counts of
statutory rape of a 12 year old girl.

Utin taught math and science for
35 years at Blacksburg Middle School
before retiring.

The indictment alleges that the
abuse happened between June 1st 1970
and March 31st 1971.

The victim would now be 48 years
old.

Utin pleaded guilty last month in
Ohio to raping another 12 year old
girl.

He will be sentenced next week.

A car crash left one person dead
and sent another to the hospital.

this morning.

Police say Pearl Hoffman was
driving when she ran a stop sign at the
intersection of Rome Drive and
Crumpacker Drive in Northeast Roanoke
County.

Her 2003 Buick struck an
embankment and overturned.

Her husband, Leon Hoffman was
pronounced dead at the scene.

Ohio with Charles Cobler this
afternoon.

Investigators anticipate he'll be
charged with the murder of Snow Creek
Pastor Nancy Copin anytime now.

He's currently being held on
charges unrelated to Copins death.

One of those charges includes
felony theft for failure to pay for his
gas at this convienient store in Henry
County last Tuesday.

Authorities believe this may have
been Cobler's last stop before he fled
to Ohio.

Commissioner in Roger Goodell and he
has pledged to get tough on the off the
field behavior by some of the Players
in the N-F-L. Goodell certainly backed
up his word today.

2006 Season Goodell has suspended Adam
"Pac-Man" Jones of the Tennessee Titans
for an entire year. Jones is no
stranger to being in or around trouble.
He has been interviewed 10 times by
police since he entered the N-F-L. The
most recent event that caught the
attention of the League was at the
N-B-A All-star game weekend where Jones
had some part in a fight and shooting
at a Strip Club that paralyzed a man.
Police in Las Vegas have recommended
that felony and misdemeanor charges be
filed against Pac-Man for that
incident. The Cornberback could be
reinstated after 10 games if he adheres
to a strict set of conditions that the
N-F-L has set for him.

from the N-F-L today. His College
Teammate Chris Henry who plays for the
Cinncinnati Bengals was also handed a
suspension.

Henry will have to sit out 8 2006 Season games as handed down by Commissioner
Goodell. The Wide Receiver was
arrested 4 times in a 14 month span.
That drew a 2-game suspension as well
as a benching by his Head Coach Marvin
Lewis. Henry can take part in Training
Camp and play in the Bengals Pre-season
Games. Then he must stay away from the
Cinncinnati Facilites during his
suspension.

Commissioner Goodell said it's a
privalege not a right to play in the
N-F-L.

afternoon.

Honors.

Durant is holding a press 2006-2007 Season conference as we speak in Austin Texas.
He has announced that he will not be
returning to school and make himself
available for the N-B-A Draft. Durant
is part of the first class of players
that was required to go to college for
at least one season or sit out after
High School before being allowed to
enter the N-B-A.

The 6-9 Freshman averaged almost
26 points per game this season to go
along with 11 rebounds.

only thing is this house is real.

Tracy Shee-ney bought this North
Carolina house as a fixer up.. but two
weeks ago saw bats coming out of the
back of the house.

An animal exterminator found 31
layers of bat droppings.. meaning bats

have been living here for at least 31
years...

Tracy now trying to figure out how
to pay the 23 thousand dollars it'll
take to clean up the house-

and if she has any legal recourse
against the realtor who advised her not
to get an inspection and to take the
house 'as is."
