first proposed three years ago it
caused a huge uproar in the community.

But whether residents like it or
not, the project is still a go.

Keagy Village will be built at
the corner of Route 419 and Keagy Road

next to Allstate Insurance.

In the last few months, crews
have been busy clearing the land to
make way for the project which will be
made up of specialty shops and an
office complex.

We understand Kahn Development is
now waiting on a building permit from
the county.

The developer tells News 7 they
hope to begin construction in the
coming months and have some of the
shops open by the end of the year.

Blacksburg...where an Ohio developer
has confirmed that a big box store is
in the works.

Fairmount Properties unveiled its
latest plan this afternoon for 40 acres
off South Main Street.

That's the site of the old Lake
Terrace Motel.

More than a dozen stores have
already signed on, including Books A

movie theater.

The developer says a big box WILL
anchor the project, but did not say
which company it would be.

Danville went down in North Carolina
-killing the one-person on board.

According to a flight plan, the
plane left from Carolina Beach
yesterday and was supposed to arrive at
the Danville Airport yesterday
afternoon at 4:30.

When it didn't - Caswell County
authorities were alerted and several
teams searched until bad weather forced
them to stop.

They resumed the search this
morning and at about 10:30- crews found
the wreckage about 12 miles south of
Danville in a wooded area near Farmer

News, 50-year-old Danny Alvis was
piloting his experimental aircraft when
it crashed.

Alvis is a financial guru who
hosts a weekly syndicated radio show.

His radio station manager says
Alvis was heading to Danville to pick
up a guest for his show.

The F-A-A is still investigating
the incident.

continues to be a topic of
conversation....today the Durham County
District Attorney Mike Nifong
apologized to the three players
involved.

This comes a day after North
Carolina's attorney general dropped
charges against all players, declaring
them innocent.

In today's statement, Nifong says
that when someone is wrongly accused,
the harm can't always be undone right
away simply by dismissing the charges.

He says he hopes the actions of
the state attorney general "will serve
to remedy any remaining injury."

day on the job.

A police officer in Florida was
in pursuit of some car jacking suspects
when the driver knocked over a light
pole.

The officer successfully missed
the pole but nose dived into this pond.

He was trapped in the sinking car
for several minutes....waiting until
the entire vehicle was submerged before
escaping.

The officer wasn't hurt....just a
little wet.

And after all that, he was still
able to nab one of the suspects.

Confederacy is running out of room.

Now leaders are looking for new
options.

their area...including Lexington,
Virginia.

Community and business leaders
want the museum to relocate to the
historic courthouse in downtown
Lexington.

That property will be available

Those in favor of the move say
more tourists would visit the area,
bringing in nearly a million dollars in
tax revenue.

But opponents worry the move
could be offensive to some.

the energy drink is a drug and cannot
be sold without F-D-A approval.

The agency says Redux beverages
is illegally marketing the drink as
both a street drug and a dietary
supplement.

Now the drink doesn't actually
contain cocaine, however, it's being

"speed in a can" and "liquid cocaine".

of a popular kid's mouthwash.

Johnson and Johnson is recalling
about four million bottles of its
Listerine Agent Blue mouthwash in the
"Glacier Mint" and "Bubble Blast"
flavors.

The company says tests showed it
was contaminated with microorganisms,
despite the use of preservatives.

Johnson and Johnson says the
contamination poses a significant
health risk to individuals with
weakened or suppressed immune systems.

So far, there have been no
reports of any problems.

No other Listerine brand products
are included in the recall.
