at Virginia Tech, and now the
university is offering a five thousand
dollar reward to catch the culprit.

The latest handwriten note was
found today and closed Torgesen,
Durham, and Whittemore Halls.

Classes in those buildings were
cancelled for the night and many
streets in the area remain closed.

This is the second bomb threat in
a matter of weeks and the university is
clearly not happy about it.

The university does believe there
could be a connection between the bomb
threats.

We're told it could take all
weekend for authorities to sweep all
three buildings because they're so
large.

As a result, activities in those
buildings have been canceled for the

Virginia Tech is doing just that.

On Friday, the university sent this
cease and desist notice to the
management of Oge-Chi's.

At issue are these Hokie Birds in the
front window. Virginia Tech says
they're in violation of the
university's trademark rights.

The letter states Oge Chi's has until
Monday to remove the birds or the
university will take appropiate action.

President Steger also released a
statement Friday saying quote "Girls
Gone Wild has a reputation for making a
profit by selling images of women that
are degreading and demeaning. As a
university we condemn this activity and
see no place for it in our community,
end quote.

As a result, Virginia Tech is
encouraging opponents to protest
outside Oge Chi's next Friday night.

There should be no shortage since
more than two thousand people have so
far signed an online petition against
the Girls Gone Wild visit.

The university is also thinking of
sending an e-mail to the student body
asking them not to take part in the
Girls Gone Wild taping

pleaded guilty to charges he was
trading Oxycontin prescriptions for
crack cocaine.

53-year-old James Stanley Ross of
Clarksville appeared in Danville's
federal court this morning.

Ross was arrested January 17th in
the parking lot of the Danville K-Mart
after authorities set up a sting
operation with an informant.

They say Ross wrote a
prescription for 60 doses of Oycontin
pills in exchange for what he thought
was crack cocaine.

Ross faces up to 45 years in
prison and more than 2-million dollars.

He's agreed to surrender his
medical license.

in the Duke lacrosse case has been

subdivision of Roanoke County. While
everyone got out safetly, the damaged
topped 300 thousand dollars.

On Sunday, viewers logged on to
learn more about why, after 32 years,
Doc Roberts Tire Company was shutting
its doors. The owner says plans are in
the works to sell the property to the
town of Blacksburg.

The focus switched back to
Franklin County on Monday...that's when
police arrested 42 year old Charles V.
Cobler for the murder of Nancy Copin.
Cobler was arrested in Ohio and later
returned to Virginia.

On Tuesday viewers took a break

from hard news and turned their
attention to sports. Virginia Tech's
basketball team made headlines when
Robert Krabbendam announced he wasn't
returning to Tech. Instead, the seven
footer will return to his home country
to pursue other opportunities.

Wednesday it was back to the hard
news, viewers logged on to learn more
about a driver killed in a Botetourt
County accident. The victim was later
identified as 22 year old Roland Howard
Yates IV.

Thursday's top web story was on a
suspect who fatally shot himself as a
deputy approached him. 18 year old
Jacob Matthew Hooper of Roanoke was
facing a felony carnal knowledge
charge.

County to a tragic accident in

their time aboard.

Virginia for their annual reunion.
Today, they boarded the Virginia Dare
for a midday cruise on Smith Mountain
Lake.

The U-S-S Roanoke was a light
cruiser launched in 1947, and members
of the crew say she was "top of the
line."
