accident in Lynchburg last night.

It happened at around eleven
o'clock on route 501 northbound near
Graves Mill Road.

The man died at the scene. His
name has not been released.

There is no word on the cause of
the accident - but police say no other
vehicles were involved.

a federal drug charge in U-S District
Court this morning.

53-year-old James Ross was arrested
in January after he tried swapping a
prescription for 60 doses of Oxycontin
in exchange for crack cocaine.

is wheelchair-bound ... will be
sentenced at a later date.

He's agreed to surrender his
license to practice medicine.

slammed into a guardrail on a New
Jersey parkway Thursday night.

pickup truck swerved to avoid a red
pickup and slammed into the

searching for the red pickup driver�who

fled the scene.

The Governor was airlifted to a local
hospital where doctors inserted a

rod in his leg. For now�State Senate
president Richard Codey has taken

over as acting governor. Codey did the
same when Governor Jim McGreevey

stepped down in 2004.

it�s not certain how long it will take
for Corzine to resume his duties.

He�s scheduled for more surgery
Saturday and Monday�.and doctors say it

could be months before he can walk
normally.

Kahn Development says it will
consist of speciality shops and an
office complex.

So far, Starbucks and a

hasn't found a small higher end grocery
store.

Kahn Development partly blames
the addition of Fresh Market and
Ukrop's to the area for the holdup.

Even so, the project is still a
go, and the developer hopes to have
some of the retail shops open by the
end of the year.
