because of a bomb threat.

The university has posted a five
thousand dollar reward for information
leading to the arrest and conviction of

offer that service.

If you're mailing your taxes and
you want them date stamped on
time...you must have the package in the

and the inside lobby.

The post office will stay open
Tuesday night until 8:30.

courthouse in Rockbridge County is well
underway.

Demolition crews have already
torn down buildings at the intersection
of Nelson and Randolph Streets to make
way for the new 29 million dollar
facility.

Over the next few weeks, those
who work and live nearby might feel a
few shakes since workers will be
blasting on site to remove rock.

The courthouse is expected to be
finished next November.

Earlier this week the Lexington
City council voted to continue to
courting the Museum of Confederacy to
relocate from Richmond to Lexington's

historic courthouse.

the Leesville Dam could be a little
higher than normal over the next month
or so.

Appalachian Power plans to modify
the release of water from Smith
Mountain Lake into the Roanoke River
starting today.

Adjusted water releases from the
dam are designed to enhance striped
bass spawning downstream in the Roanoke
River.

Similar work will also be going
on at Claytor Dam in Pulaski County to
accommodate recreational activities.

federal authorities are on the lookout

this weekend for a driver who stole a
fully loaded fuel oil truck.

The driver eventually abandoned
the tanker in Washington, DC near the
U-S Capitol complex.

that's been stolen in the past few
weeks.

Authorities in DC have already
ticketed one company for for illegal
procedures which prompted, Homeland
