someone I grew up with and loved. Now I
feel like I didn't know this person.

Some relatives of the victims say

they're not ready to forgive the
shooter.

Joh's family says it will cooperate
fully with investigators.

offering prayers during a moment of

In Richmond, hundreds gathered to
offer support... all wearing maroon and
orange.

Muslim, Hindu, Sikh (Seek),
Jewish and Christian prayers were
offered.

The names of the victims were

bell.

Governor Tim Kaine urged
Virginians to mourn, while encouraging
them to have faith brighter days are
ahead.

The tragedy hits home for

aching joints.. but an analysis found
the remedy doesn't work.

However, there are plenty of people who
swear by chondroitin.. so some experts
say if a patient believes it's working
they might want to stick with it.

The F-D-A has considered and approved a
bird flu vaccine.

In testing the shots only provided
protection to about 45 percent of the
people who got it.. but experts say
it's better than nothing.

The government plans to buy and
stockpile enough vaccine for 20 million
people.. including health care workers.

Want to reduce your risk of cancer?..
Look no further than the refrigerator.

A trio of new studies says fruits and
vegetables can help keep head and neck,
breast, ovarian and pancreatic cancers
at bay.

Researchers say the more, the better.

People who ate the most fruits and
veggies lowered their risk of certain
cancers by up to 29 percent.

Yesterday was a rainy day in
southern California and this year rain
is a rare sight.

Rain also fell across the Los
Angeles area drenching

parched hillsides and causing traffic
slowdowns.

inches below normal, and this season on
track to be the driest on record, most
people did not mind getting wet.

Thursday in New Hampshire after four
days of rain, just in time for federal
officials to start assessing flood
damage around the state after last
weeks nor'easter.

FEMA officials spoke with
homeowners and toured areas of damage
with the Governor.

The state should have little
trouble reaching the one-point-five
million-dollar threshold required for
federal assistance.

A source says Bill Phillips walked
into an afternoon meeting Friday at
Johnson Space Center and ordered
everyone out, except two co-workers.

It turned into a four hour hostage
situation. In the end police say
Phillips shot and killed engineer David
Beverely before turning the gun on
himself.

The other employee was found tied up
but alive.

allegedly made some threats.

student told others he was planning to
climb the school's clock tower and
shoot people with his rifle.

Police say 18 year-old Richard Sonnen
also threatened a high school saying
Lewiston would get "it's own
Columbine".

room. Police did not say if he was
armed at the time.

Officers say Sonnen had made similar
threats in the past and has a history
of mental illness.

journalists from around the world had
arrived and so did the criticism.
Hincker still says the University acted

the best way it could under the
circumstances.

Hincker believes Virginia Tech will not
be defined by the tragedy. And he's not
worried people will leave.

when it first received word of the
Virginia Tech shootings.

But the death toll was much
higher than expected and the medical
center ended caring for only a handful
of survivors.

showed News 7 the x-rays of one of the
victims of Monday's shooting.

He had a bullet that landed less
than two inches from his brain stem.

This gunshot victim was one of
five people treated at Lewis-Gale on

Norris Hall.

While Doctor Dowling says all of
the patients treated here will recover

Shaalan was hit and when the
