are still trying to figure out why Cho
Seung-Hui shot and killed 32 people at
Virginia Tech last week.

They've poured through computer data
and cell phone records, looking for a
link between Cho and his victims.
But so far, state police say no
connections have been found.
More information is expected be
released today at a news conference

Tech strikes, many are left wondering
if their loved ones are okay?

VO-NAT It can take hours before anyone
is notified, but one website hopes to
end that lengthy wait.
Next of Kin- dot org is a free
website that allows you to register who
you would like to be contacted in the
event of an emergency..
It proved useful during
Hurricane Katrina, as close to 500
people were located in seven to ten
days through the website.....it's also
useful for agencies like the Red Cross.
And of course, most recently, when
the website's data was opened up to
Virginia Tech police.
The organization is now working
with states to soon have stickers on
every drivers license across the
country that would identify them as
being registered in the N-O-K-R
database.

Lynchburg, many residents will end up
seeing a LARGER tax bill next year.

the real estate tax rate at a
dollar-five per 100-thousand dollars of
assessed value.
That's a six-cent reduction from
the current rate ... but since most
people's homes have increased in value,
they'll be paying more.
Some council members felt cutting
the rate by six cents wasn't enough.

but it turns out it was all for a
movie.

Police say they received a report
of a man with a gun at a hall on campus
just before midnight Monday night.
While investigating, a student
told them she and a group of students
were filming a class project involving
a robbery scene.
Officers evacuated and searched
the hall as a precaution.
One student was arrested for
brandishing a plastic, unloaded B-B gun
on campus.

hoping to be bound for the White House.

Jim Gilmore says he'll officially
annnounce his bid for the presidency
this week during a live webcast from
Iowa.
The conservative headed up the
Republican National Committee in 20-01,
and formed a presidential exploratory
committee earlier this year, but has
only been able to raise about
200-thousand dollars.
Gilmore left office in January
20-02.
He's best remembered for trying
to phase out the car tax.

Cho's actions still weigh on them.
In an effort to ease their minds,
Governor Tim Kaine met with nearly 100-
Korean Americans yesterday.

Virginia Military Institute.

be concerned about how best to
stabilize Iraq.
Because insurgents gravitate to
