GRAPHIC=NEXTEL The Nextel Cup drivers will

qualify in Talladega tomorrow morning

and race on Sunday.

Today - racing sanctioning body
took Tony Stewart to the wood shed for
the comments he made earlier this week
- in which he in effect said NASCAR is
fake like rasslin.

April Stewart says after a 6am meeting
today in Talladega with a group what he
would only describe as his peers - he
realizes he should not have accused
NASCAR of throwing phantom caution
flags to shape the outcome of a race.

Stewart says he knows he said
some stupid stuff that likely hurt the
sport.

He has appologized and was fined
$10 thousand bucks for skipping
Sunday's mandatory postrace interview
session..

However, several drivers
incliding Kasey Kahne and Greg Biffle
said today Stewart was only saying what
we all think about a lot.

Jean is coming back in a moment.
Take care everybody.

The new owners plan to upgrade
the kitchen and menu.

They also plan to expand the old

upscale dining and possibly a wine

cellar.

As for Granny Averill...she has
no plans for now.
