Former Virginia Cavalier Deyon
Williams appeared in 38 games while at
UVA totaling 95 catches for 1,237
yards and 10 touchdowns. He is the 26th
player in school history to go over the
1,000 yard mark. You may remember that
Deyon's senior year was plagued by a
broken bone in his leg.
The Skins also signed Maryland's
Sam Hollenbach who finished his career
as only the fourth Terrapin to throw
for more than 5,000 yards in his
career. He finished his career on a
high-note being named MVP of the 2006
Champs Sports Bowl.

cold cut as the team cut wide receiver
Keyshawn Johnson.

Johnson, who will turn 35 in
July, had 70 catches for 815 yards and
four touchdowns last season in his
first season with Carolina. The
Panthers signed the former No. 1
overall pick last year after he was
released by Dallas in a salary cap move
so the Cowboys could sign Terrell
Owens.
Johnson became expendable when
the Panthers drafted Dwayne Jarrett on
Saturday.

headed to the Men's NCAA tennis
championships for the first time in
school history.
This afternoon RU found out that
it will play 6th ranked North Carolina
in its opening round match next Friday
in Chapel Hill.
The Highlanders, under the
direction of two-time Big South Coach
of the Year Mike Anderson, defeated
Winthrop on April 21 to earn the Big
South title. RU comes into the the May
11th match with a 17 and 5 record.
Radford has won 10 consecutive matches

Roanoke area business are teaming up to
raise money for Mill Mountain Theater.

The theater's second annual
fund-raiser kicked off at Twist and
Turns this morning in downtown Roanoke.
The store is hosting the
week-long event, which features
everything from cooking classes to
floral arranging.
They hope to raise 20 thousand
dollars to double the 10 thousand they
brought in last year for the same
event.
