This Season Bill Pilat's regular season
champs will face Washington & Lee
tomorrow night under the lights in
Salem.

Roanoke won the regular season
title with a 5-and-1 conference mark,
but their one loss came to W&L back on
March 24th, when they fell 14-to-13.

Roanoke has since reeled off 7
straight wins.

The other semi-final will be
played today, as Hampden-Sydney hosts
Lynchburg.

GRAPHIC=REDSKINS The Washington Redskins needed

some help on the defensive line, but
they chose instead to get help in the
secondary by taking LaRon Landry in the

NFL draft.

He was taken in the 6th overall pick.

The hard- hitting safety from LSU
is already getting settled at Redskins
Park, where he says there's no question
he can co-exist with Sean Taylor.

That's apparently what this bear was
thinking yesterday, when he went for a
swim in a Los Angeles pool.

The pool was located in a
neighborhood at the base of the San
Gabriel Mountains.

Bears are becoming a common sight
in that area.

After cooling off in the pool, the
bear made a run for it, and headed for
the hills.
