that the recent tragedy at Virginia
Tech is affecting enrollment.

ENG#=1 VO NAT

VO NAT To date, Virginia Tech says only
five have declined to enroll because of
the shootings.

Administrators says that's not
many when you consider the university
offered admission to 12-thousand 850
applicants.

Virginia Tech says it has gone
out of its way to reassure prespective
students by e-mailing them on several
occassions since the incident.

We also understand the university
has received several hundred calls from
parents who's children won't be going
to Tech next year, but wanted to make
it clear it had nothing to do with what
happened on campus.
