GRAPHIC=Shooting Martinsville investigators are
looking for more information about a
shooting involving two juveniles.
Police responded yesterday to a
call about a possible shooting at the
Avalon Arms apartments on Corn Tassel
Trail.
At the scene they found two
juveniles in one apartment, one with a
gunshot wound.
The shooting victim was taken to
the hospital and treated for injuries.
The juveniles names are not being
released due to their ages.

GRAPHIC=Guns at School A 12-year-old boy has been
arrested after a loaded gun was found
in his book bag yesterday at William
Ruffner Middle School.

A school system spokesperson says
that there were never any threats to
students and no evacuations.
The seventh-grader's name has not
been released because he is juvenile.
He's been charged with possession
of a firearm on school property and
brandishing a firearm.
Police do not indicate exactly
how the gun was "brandished", nor did
they provide further details on what
type of the gun it was.

after being charged with D-U-I and
hit-and-run for an off-duty accident
last month.

State police say Danny Leigh
Cassidy, Junior was going about 70
miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour
zone when he crashed his car on
Franklin Turnpike April 20th.
Cassidy also allegedly left the
scene of the accident.
He'd been employed with the
Danville Police Department for nine
years.

Family.
Former governors and the scent of
her favorite flowers... sweet peas will
greet her inside.
The Queen will travel to
Jamestown and Williamsburg tomorrow,
but the Richmond visit is the best
chance for the public to see her.

Those are being appraised so the
school has a better idea of their
value.
A spokesperson says there currently

endowment fund.
The school was recently accredited
with warning because of its financial

is dining at the White House this
morning.
