capital murder this morning in Circuit
Court.

Washington was charged with robbing and
killing 26-year-old David Devin Poe
last June.

Authorities say Washington and two
other men burst into Poe's Early Street
home and shot him while an 8-year-old
boy and 3-week-old baby girl looked on.

Washington entered Alford pleas to
all twelve charges ... meaning he
maintains his innocence but admits
there was enough evidence to convict
him.

searching for the items she knows can
never be replaced. She was able to
find numerous family photo albums� but
can't find a framed picture drawn by
her late husband.

hanging on this wall." Laughs

The Stone family is one of many who
returned Monday morning to see what
they have left in this tornado ravaged
community. 84 year old Eva Marie
Butterfield also lost everything.

here? Nothing is left."

of people suddenly homeless �the Red
Cross is expecting many victims to be
overwhelmed�and is preparing to help
them deal with

this tragedy.

we have mental health counselors
around. We have brought in some
chaplains to visit with some families
if they need."

Some of the families who returned
Monday were forced to leave once again
when an ammonia leak was detected in
the northern part of the town.

But there was some good news officials
say a survivor was pulled from the
rubble late Sunday night...one glimmer
of hope for a town badly in need of a
lift.

Martinsville had the highest
unemployment in the state in March at 8
point 6 percent.

The numbers come just weeks after
the Virginia Employment Commission
announced plans to close several field

unemployment figures show the need for

expensive movie ever made, but it has
taken in more than 375 MILLION dollars
at the worldwide box office. That

could only raise six million dollars.

Eighty-five out of every one hundred
tickets sold this weekend were for
Spiderman.
