gunman who killed 32 students and
teachers at Virginia Tech three weeks
ago, was in fact ordered to seek mental
health treatment.
The Washington Post summed up the
findings in an article which ran today.
The Post reports a special judge
ordered (Sueng hee cho) Seung Hi Cho
into involuntary outpatient treatment
after concluding that he not only posed
a threat to himself but others.
Cho however never fulfilled the
judges orders and the paper points out,
mental health officials nor the court
checked up to make sure he received
treatment.

the final site plans for "Boulevards of
Blacksburg" late last week.
The Ohio developer wants to build
a major shopping center along South
Main Street near the Kroger.
The plans include a 175-thousand
foot building, which many believe will

The new site plan includes a
drawing that appears very similar to
many exhisting Walmart stores, but no
store is named in the plan.

invasion last summer.

medical problem was the likely cause of
a plane crash that killed two people in
Danville last month.

April 19th The single-engine plane from
Pennsylvania crashed in a wooded area
near the airport on April 19th.
The pilot had requested an
emergency landing, telling the tower
his passenger was having diabetic
problems and he was 'wrestling' with

Board found no mechanical problems with
the aircraft.
A final report won't be issued for
several months.

are holding their own this year,
despite nationwide trends that are
generally down.

black background in a show of support
for school.
This past weekend marked the
series' first stop in the Commonwealth

football coach Frank Beamer with a
check for $120,000 from NASCAR for the
Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund. Beamer
spoke at the drivers' meeting, met with
Governor Tim Kaine and received another
$40 thousand from the Richmond
International Raceway for the fund.
There were all of signs for
support for the Hokie Nation from the
VT painted on the infield - to the
special helmet worn by Ward Burton that
featured an amazing picture on the back
of it of Burress Hall with silhouetted
rose in the foreground.
