The Star was turned solid white to
honor the victims of the Virginia Tech
shootings.

It was originally supposed to be that
way for 32 days but now the city says
it's indefinite.

of our latest Survey USA poll. Justin

Keith and Jean, a majority of
Roanokers want to see the Star go back
to red, white, and blue.

over and over again as long as we're at
war it should remain the patriotic
colors.

VO NAT But as we told you last week, several
council members are now open to the

idea of NOT turning the star back to
red, white, and blue.

They argue there's no telling how
long we'll be at war.

Our scientific survey shows more than
half of those surveyed in the Roanoke
Valley prefer the red, white, and blue.

Nearly a quarter told us it should
stay white, and 11-percent said they
weren't sure.

been charged after authorities say he
threatened to shoot up his high school.

charged with disorderly conduct at

The sheriff's office learned of
the threats last night.

The student was interviewed and

The judge did not rule today on a
motion to dismiss a six point three
million dollar lawsuit against the
former Hokie.

sued by a 17-year-old Christiansburg
girl. She says she had a sexual
relationship with Vick for nearly two
years while he was at Virginia Tech.

Vick's attorneys want the case
thrown out, but the judge asked them
for more information today.

He's not expected to rule for at
least another month on whether the
lawsuit will move forward.

deliberations as it considers the fate
of a Christiansburg nail salon owner
accused of inappropriately touching a
client.

February Kenny Tran was facing a charge of
sexual battery, but after hearing the
evidence, the judge reduced it to a
misdemeanor assault and battery count.

A female client at Sky Nails

Salon says Tran massaged her and
grabbed her breasts and reached into
her pants.

If convicted, Tran faces up to 12
months in jail and/or a 12-hundred
dollar fine.

Tran has already been found not
guilty on two similar charges earlier
this year.

confessed to raping an elderly woman
back in the 19-90's

42-year-old Argle ARE-juhl Hall
was arrested eleven years after the
alleged crimes.

The victim says in May of 19-94
someone broke into her home as she
slept. She was attacked in her bed.

She was attacked again in May of
19-96.

Detectives interviewed Hall on a
hunch, and they say he confessed to the
rapes on both video tape, and in a
written statement.

A judged certifed the charges
against Hall today, and sent them to a
Grand Jury.
