Two people died in a hail of
gunfire in Pittsylvania County this
morning. A third person was wounded.

modular and mobile home sales business.
That's about five miles east of
Danville on Route 58 near Ringgold.
Police were called there shortly
after three this morning for a report
of a shooting.

another underneath a white tent that
had been erected over where the victim
had fallen in the grass, about twenty
feet from the vehicle.
Shell casings and other bits of
evidence littered the ground ... and
bullet holes could be seen in a nearby
modular home.
Broken glass was everywhere ...
authorities say some it belongs to the
suspect's car.

also have a murder on their hands.
Around 7 this morning, a hunter
found the body of a man in the National
Forest off Route 130.
Police believe the victim,
identified as 54-year-old Michael Kent
Jamerson of Madison Heights, was shot
and killed within the past 24 hours.
An autopsy is pending.

arrested in connection to a weekend
stabbing at Valley View Mall.

in to police and was charged with
malicious wounding.
On Saturday, officers were called
to the parking area outside Macy's,
because of a large crowd.
Upon arrival, they found a
14-year-old girl who had been stabbed.

School officials say today's
threat came over the phone... less than
24 hours after someone found the word
Bomb and the date 5-eleven.. which is
Friday on a bathroom stall at Fleming.
Parents have been alerted by
letter and through the school's Rapid
parent notification system.

suspects may be students from a rival
university.

life for a crime he insists he didn't
commit.
A Bedford County jury convicted him of
killing his girlfriend's parents. The
crime occured in 1985.
The killer went to Derek and Nancy
Haysom's suburban Lynchburg home, slit
their throats and stabbed them 36
times.
The Haysom's daughter, Elizabeth, is
serving a 90-year sentence as an
accomplice for trying to cover up the
crime.

Today the Maroons swept the Old
Dominion Athletic Conference postseason
honors.
It is the first time ever that
one school has won all four postseason
honors.

Roanoke to 14 wins this season and he
