controversial Blacksburg shopping
center are now suing the town.

a vested right to build the shopping

We begin tonight with the news
that made the NASCAR world back up and
do a double take in the rear view
mirror this morning.

Dale Earnhardt, Junior announced

that he's leaving the company his late
father founded at the end of this
season.

Junior just never could come to
terms on a new deal or ownership in the
company with his step mom Teresa
Earnhardt.

As a result, he has decided in
effect to become a free agent - making
himself available to the highest bidder
for next season.

He and his sister were careful
not to trash the house on their way out
the door.

top softball players signed papers to
play at Division One member Elon
starting next season.

Hidden Valley pitcher Hannah
Shelton will play for hte Phoenix in
the Southern Conference.

Shelton is a big reason the
Titans are tied for first place in the
River Ridge district right now.

For the season she is 8 and 1 as
a pitcher with an earned run avergae of
zero point 78.

She also is battting 523 with 19
stolen bases.
