man who interrupted several baseball
and softball games last night after he
was spotted carrying a long riffle on
school grounds.

six o'clock at Staunton River High
School.

After hours of searching, Bedford
County Deputies were able to catch the
suspect late in the evening.

Authorities say he never fired
shots during the baseball game, but
fans were moved to a safe place as a
precaution.

The suspect, who is currently
being questioned, has not been charged
at this time.

heroism of a former colleague.

California's Catalina Islands are
starting to return home after an
enormous fire forced them to head to
the mainland Thursday.

The cause remains under
investigation, but authorities think
contractors working in the area may
have sparked it.

Blue Rocks vs. Avalanche Mugsy was hoping for the sweep :00 in Game 2.

The Blue Rocks jumped on top
when Brian Bigler attempts to steal
2nd, then changes his mind, but it was
just enough to allow Wilver Perez to
steal home for a 1-nothing lead.

Then in the 3rd, it was 2-oh
before Josh Flores cranks this solo
homerun to left centerfield. That cut
the Blue Rocks cushion in half.

Mario Lisson would *CG final Wilmington drive in another Wilmington run though 6 in the 4th. The Blue Rocks went on to Salem get the split with a 6 to 2 win.

game in Tallahassee. Today the Hokies
knocked off North Carolina 3 to
nothing. Angela Tincher faced 22
batters, allowing just 2 hits and had
11 k's. Scot Thomas and company will
face Georgia Tech in tomorrow's Noon
title game.

straight goals to take control,
including this one from Jon Mason who

Later it's Richard Fox *CG final Ohio Wesleyan on the unassisted tally. The Maroons 9 won it 18 to 9, and will play unbeaten Roanoke Salisbury on the road Wednesday.

lacrosse Final Four took center stage
today just down the road in the City of
Champions at the brand new Spartan
Field complex.

West Chester vs. Lock Haven The first semi-final pitted two :00 conference rivals from Pennsylvania
against each other as West Chester and
Lock Haven met for the fourth time this
season.

West Chester won all three of the
previous encounters and the Golden Rams
took control of this one from the
outset thanks in part to a four goal
performance from Jackie Baker.

Lock Haven failed to convert a
lot of opportunites in tight, but
Jessica Blickenstaff made sure this one
found the net. She finished with three
goals.

As did her teammate Leigh Titus
who scores on the run in the second

half as Lock Haven got within one goal
of West Chester. *CG final West Chester
16 But the Rams win it 16-to-14 Lock Haven advancing to their 4th straight 14 National Title Game. West Chester has NCAA D-2 SEMI-FINALS lost all of the previous three.
