The thinking is if all 73 million
myspace members boycott gas stations
Tuesday it will cost oil companies
three billion dollars.

But here's the real deal, most
experts agree the boycott won't work.

R-O-T-C rifle- that doesn't even work,
but it caused quite a scare on the
campus of E.C. Glass High School this
morning.

7 after a passerby spotted someone with
a gun in the school parking lot.

Police later determined it was a
non-functioning rifle and that the
student was simply returning it to
school after weekend drill.

man with a gun seen near Staunton River
High School Friday night had any
intention of harm.

Meanwhile, authorities in
Bedford County have still not decided
if they'll charge the man.

Friday Night Several people spotted a
man with a gun near the school, forcing
the evacuation of several athletic
events.

Deputies made contact with the
person of interest late Friday night.

This morning, the sheriff's
office said the man was walking from
one residence to another and the high
school happened to be in between. He
was carrying an unloaded 22-caliber
rifle.

Authorities are trying to
determine if he set foot on school
property.

Tennessee crossed the line. At least
that's how some people feel about a
prank that was pulled during a school
camping trip.

The teachers told middle school
students there was a gunman on the
loose and they needed to stay low.

While pranks are acceptable on

than enthused with the situation.

county died over the weekend.

Carolina.

Sink owned Sinkland Farms off
Route 8 in Riner.

for bike week.

He was 54.

Two A state basketball champs from
Hidden Valley.

One of the top players off of
that team, Kylee Beccher, has picked
her college.

verbally committed to attend college
and play basketball at the University
of South Carolina.

The daughter of former Virginia
Tech great Bobby Beecher is just
wrapping up her junior year and will
have one more year to play at Hidden

2007 Group AA State Tournament Her coach Mike McGuire says since :00 the end of the state tournament in

Richmond in which Kylee played all 64
minutes of the tournament scoring 32
points and grabbing 19 rebounds in two
games, she's had inquires from over 30
division one schools and offers from at
least five including Boston College,
Richmond, JMU and Western Kentucky.

McGuire says Virginia Tech had
not yet indicated it would offer
Beecher a scholarship and was still
evaluating its possible 2008 recruits.
After visiting Columbia - the Beechers
were sold on USC.
