In the volatile region south of Baghdad
U-S troops searched from the air
and ground for three missing comrades.
Al-Qaida linked insurgents claim they
captured the American soldiers.
Four-thousand U-S troops along with
Iraqi forces are on the case.
They hope methodical door-to-door
searches, traffic checkpoints, and a
two-hundred thousand dollar reward will
lead them to the soldiers and
help ease the anguish of their
families.

Saturday before dawn near the town of
Mahmoudiya (mahk-moo-DEE'-ah).. in
the so-called �triangle of death�.. two
Humvees patrolling for roadside
bombs were ambushed with explosions and
small arms fire. The responding
patrols found the bodies of four U-S
soldiers and an Iraqi translator..
three US soldiers were missing.

On its web site, the Islamic State in
Iraq claimed it carried out the
attack and captured "a number of
crusader soldiers.." implying proof
would come soon.

wanted for a shooting in Danville last
night.
Police found a 28-year-old victim
shot in the left hand and left thigh at
around 9:15 in the 800 block of Arnett
Blvd.
He was taken to the hospital and
is listed in stable condition.
Police say 32-year-old Antonio
Tanner is wanted in connection with the
crime.
He is charged with one count of
malicious wounding and one count of use
of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Al-Qaida linked insurgents claim they
captured the American soldiers.
Four-thousand U-S troops along with
Iraqi forces are on the case.

two-hundred thousand dollar reward will
lead them to the soldiers and
help ease the anguish of their
