after a single-vehicle accident in
Lynchburg early this morning.
It happened at around 1:30 in the
4700 block of Richmond Highway near
Jumbo's Restaurant.
Police say a car hit the side of
the bridge that goes over the nearby
railroad tracks.
The driver is listed in critical
condition. No other passengers were
said to have been in the vehicle.
The accident is still under
investigation.

Kimberly, our viewers may be
familiar with the grassroots efforts of
Gary Hunt.
He's been taking used school
supplies to children in Belize for
years and this summer he's making
another trip.
But this time, he'll have 15
others going with him.

can travel with 100 pounds of materials
in their carry-on luggage for the
flight to Belize.
That means the group will be
taking 16-hundred pounds of used school
supplies to children who can really use
it.
Close to a ton of supplies need
to be collected.
Hunt's looking for pens, paper,
pencils, binders and backpacks for the
kids.
He says the teachers need
supplies too... staplers, pencil
sharpeners among other things.
In actuality, they need literally
everything.
He'll accept donations of new
supplies, but the idea is to keep the
used supplies out of a landfill.

shoppers, but it's not sitting well
with residents like Robert Poignant.
He's organized a petition drive
to fight the project.

developer is after and they're saying

Poignant says the city's retail
needs are already being met.
He's also worried the winding
roads around the development will need
a lot of work - something he fears the

after a single-vehicle accident in
Lynchburg early this morning.
It happened at around 1:30 in the
4700 block of Richmond Highway near
Jumbo's Restaurant.
Police say a car hit the side of
the bridge that goes over the nearby
railroad tracks.
The driver was taken to the
hospital and is listed in critical
condition.
The accident is still under

Kimberly, our viewers may be
familiar with the grassroots efforts of
Gary Hunt.
He's been taking used school
supplies to children in Belize for
years and this summer he's making
another trip.
But this time, he'll have 15
others going with him.

VO NAT The way it works is, each person
can travel with 100 pounds of materials
in their carry-on luggage for the
flight to Belize.
That means the group will be
taking 16-hundred pounds of used school
supplies to children who can really use
it.
Close to a ton of supplies need
to be collected.
Hunt's looking for pens, paper,
pencils, binders and backpacks for the
kids.
He says the teachers need
supplies too... staplers, pencil
sharpeners among other things.
In actuality, they need literally
everything.
He'll accept donations of new
supplies, but the idea is to keep the
used supplies out of a landfill.
