Cassell has pled guilty to a single
felony- -rather than face a jury trial
on FIVE federal charges.
The 69-year old retired lawman admitted
he lied to the F-B-I when he said he
had no knowledge of drug dealing on the
part of his deputies.

trying to cover up the misdeeds of his
staff. Money laundering, obstruction
of justice and making false statements
were among the charges.

problems at Grayson County Schools
today. .. one day fter a threat was
found at the high school--- but a lot
of students weren't there- many stayed
home today.
School officials took a number
of steps today including additional
security, and a precautionary
lockdown--- after the threat.
Superintendent Elizabeth Thomas said
there were no additional threats.
Only about 160 students attended
classes at the high school and two
nearby middle schools. On a normal day
that number exceeds 700.

may remember late last month when we
told you about St.Louis Cardinals
pitcher Josh Hancock dying in a car
wreck.
Police say he was was drunk,
speeding and not wearing his seat belt
at the time of the wreck when he ran
his SUV into the back of a parked tow
truck.
Police also say he was talking on
his cell phone at the time of the wreck
and they found 8 grams of marijuana and
a pipe in the car, as well.

Today, Hancock's father filed a
lawsuit in St. Louis Circuit Court
naming a variety of people as
defendents including the restaurant
that served him alcohol, the man who
owns the tow truck that was parked
helping a disabled vehicle and the
driver of the disabled vehicle who was
broken down on Interstate 64. Dean
Hancock of Tupelo, Mississippi is
seeking an undisclosed amount of money
from these individuals for his son's
death.

are taking a different approach to
convince CBS to bring the show back
next season.

of nuts to CBS' New York City offices.
The idea started online after the
show's final episode in which a
character was asked to surrender, he
refused by saying "NUTS."
Fans have sent more than 10-

And there are signs the campaign is
working.
The president of CBS Entertainment says
the network is working on some way to
bring closure to the series' cliff
hanger.
