ESPN announced yesterday that
Vick was infact at a dog fight in 2000
and is "one of the heavyweights" in
the sport.
The network cited a police
informant whom a dog-fighting
investigator called "extremely
reliable."
The informant says he's watched
Vick bet anywhere from 30 to 40
thousand dollars, sometimes even higher
on a fight.
Just three days ago a prosecutor
in Surry County concluded there was not
enough solid evidence to link the
player to a dogfight that was said to
have taken place at one of Vick's

Memorial Day is a time for
Americans to pay their respects to
those who died in U-S conflicts.
This year American troops still
serving overseas are also being
recognized.
This as the death toll in Iraq
continues to climb.
Tara Mergener has more on how the

It's very important to make sure that
you keep meats that need to be
refrigerated in the refrigerator as
close to grilling time as possible.

USE A MEAT THERMOMETER TO MAKE SURE THE

The USDA actually recommends 160
degrees, so checking your meat to make
sure it is cooked in the middle up to
full temperature is good safety for
killing organisms.

TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR
EXPLOSION, DO A SAFETY CHECK ON THE
GRILL ITSELF...KEEPING THE UNIT AT
LEAST 10 FEET AWAY FROM YOUR HOUSE OR
ANY OTHER BUILDING.
