The Golf Channel But he didn't stay long. :00 Mickelson withdrew from the tounament
after playing 11 holes due to an
injured left wrist. Phil was 2 over
par when he left the course. While
playing those 11 holes Mickelson had
his hand massaged in between shots but
that didn't help.

This is worrisome for the number
2 ranked player in the world, with
Golf's Next major, the U.S. Open just 2
weeks away. The injury could hamper
his chances of competing in the
Tournament that he gave away on the
Final hole a year ago.

That's it for the ticker. Jean
will put the wraps on News 7 at Five
right after this.

But look at the line they had to
wait in.. cars were waiting to fill up
their tank as early as seven this
morning along route 24 near Vinton.
More than a hundred cars lined up to
receive forty dollars of free gas.

The publisher of the Roanoke
Verizon Yellow Pages sponsored the
promotion. Starting at 11 they gave
away two hundred pre-paid gas cards.
The giveaway was supposed to last until
one, but the free gas didn't last that
long.
