always looking for a place for your pup
to roam free without a leash.
The city of Roanoke recently
created just the place at Fishburn
Park.

Justin I know this was on a trial
basis, so how is it working so far?
Natasha, the city says it has
received no major complaints.

When we were out at Fishburn
tonight, we found plenty of people at
the park, even saw a few dogs, but get
this, we didn't see anyone using the
off leash dog area.
Neighbors tell us since it
opened back in March, they've seen dogs
in the half an acre site, but it's been
sporadic.
Now, when it comes to any
problems at the park, city leaders say
so far so good.

Bush.

police a couple of months ago...
triggering a high speed pursuit that
led to the death of a Campbell County
Sheriff's Deputy.

re-instated the second-degree
felony-murder charge, they added a drug

TUBERCULOSIS. "I never meant to hurt
their families or them. And I just hope

putting them into harm because I didn't
mean to." SPEAKER DISPUTES ACCOUNTS BY
HEALTH OFFICIALS WHO MET WITH SPEAKER
BEFORE HIS WEDDING OVERSEAS. "We are
not a police authority. But we did tell
him in no uncertain terms that he
should not travel and we told him the
reasons why." BUT SPEAKER'S FATHER TAPE
RECORDED A CONVERSATIONS IN WHICH
HEALTH OFFICIALS TOLD HIM HE WAS NOT A
RISK. "My father said, ok, now you are
saying you would prefer for him not to
go on the trip because he is a risk to
anybody? Or are you simply saying that
to cover yourself? And they said well,
we have to tell you that to cover
ourselves, but he is not a risk."
ANOTHER POINT OF CONTENTION IS WHAT
HAPPENED WHEN THE CENTERS FOR DISEASE
CONTROL CONTACTED SPEAKER IN ROME AND
TOLD HIM TO TURN HIMSELF OVER TO
ITALIAN HEALTH AUTHORITIES. THE CDC
ADVISED HIM NOT TO GET ON A COMMERCIAL
JET AND SAYS IT WAS WORKING ON OPTIONS.
"We were really looking for every
single viable option that would
possibly allow the patient to have
returned to the U.S. And do that in a
way that would not pose a risk to other
people." SPEAKER WAS FORCEFUL IN
DISPUTING THAT CLAIM. "That is a
complete lie." SPEAKER SAYS HE WAS TOLD
THE CDC COULDN'T PROVIDE A WAY OUT OF
ITALY. AND HE SAYS HE DEFIED THE ORDERS
TO STAY IN ITALY BECAUSE HE FEARED HE
WOULD DIE IF HE DIDN'T GET TO DENVER
FOR TREATMENT. SPEAKER ADMITTED TO ABC
MAYBE IT WASN'T THE BEST DECISION TO
LEAVE EUROPE ON A COMMERCIAL FLIGHT.
BUT HE SAYS HE FELT THE CDC HAD

in one of Roanoke's municipal parking
garages at night or on weekends.
And a lot people aren't happy
about that.

released from prison earlier today.
He served eight years on a second
degree murder charge for helping a man
with Lou Gehrig's disease commit
suicide.
Kevorkian has said he helped at
least 130 people die from 19-90 to
19-98.
He now promises he'll never help
another person kill themselves...but
he'll work to have assisted suicide
legalized.
