disease. His death lead to Kevorkian's

second degree murder sentence.

In retrospect, Kevorkian told his
parole board he should've tried to

change the assisted suicide laws
another way.

said, to force the Supreme Court to

consider the issue. The Supreme Court
didn't. He didn't get the result

he was hopeful for."

Now 79, with his own health failing,
Kevorkian has pledged to use his

new-found freedom to continue his
life's pursuit ... making it legal to

assist in death.

some inmates at a Baltimore city jail
may have provided themselves some
additional time behind bars.

were stabbed during a disturbance this
afternoon.

It occurred in a facility called the
Metropolitan Transition Center.

Authorities have taken groups of
inmates outside and searched them for
any possible harmful objects. There is
