We begin with breaking news tonight
from Franklin County, where it's
increasingly clear that a big cleanup
awaits tomorrow.

An evening thunderstorm brought down
trees and left a thick blanket of hail
in the Henry and Fork Mountain areas
south of Rocky Mount.

We have several reports of trees across
route 220, and traffic is backed up in
both directions.

County has claimed the life of an 18
year old.

northeast of Bedford.

Police say the driver, Cody R.
Saunders of Thaxton, ran his 1992 Ford
Ranger off the right side of the road,
overcorrected, ran off the left side of
the road, struck an embankment, went
through some trees, and overturned.

game as they welcomed Region Four
runner-up Richlands to town.

Ryan Larson was the first to go yard
as his stroke clears the left field
fence.

The very next batter - fellow
senior T.C. Bane grooved one to deep
center field. His balst clears the

Aaron Lower would double in
another run for the Titans, and then in
