GRAPHIC=Virginia Tech Since the April 16th

shootings at Virginia Tech, many
wondered what will become of Norris
Hall.

This morning, we learned the answer.

File Tape The University says phased
re-use of Norris will begin in less
than two weeks.

Dozens of people were shot
inside the building.

31 students and faculty, including
the gunman, died in that part of the
rampage.

Virginia Tech says the
building will be used for offices and
labs for several engineering
departments.

That was the primary use for the
building before April 16th.

In a news release, President Charles
Steger said the overwhelming majority
of Engineering Science and Mechanics
faculty were eager to return to the
building.

Norris will no longer house
general assignment classrooms.

The news release says a
memorial will be built somewhere else
on campus.

of killing his girlfriend last

Ransome the Second guilty of first
degree murder and a firearms charges.

domestic dispute while they were
staying at the Super 8 Motel with their
two young children.

Ransome claims the gun
accidentally went off while he was
trying to unload it, but the
Commonwealth's attorney says their
evidence suggests otherwise.

After the hearing, the suspect's
family told News 7 they're sorry it
came to this.

Elementary school were exposed to
hardcore pornography for a few seconds

yesterday.

School officials say the
students were watching a tape of a math
lesson when a few seconds of porn
appeared after the tape rolled past the
credits.

School spokesman Ryan Edwards called
the incident a fluke, and says school
officials are blaming it on a video
reproduction company.

He says the teacher rushed to turn
off the T-V, but students still saw a
few seconds of the adult material.

The principal sent a letter home to
parents explaining the situation.

All videos made by the same company
have been removed from Bedford County
schools.

in suburban Philadelphia after they
were found inside a high school.

They had earlier made threats against
the school.

Students were evacuated onto the

County home of Atlanta Falcons
quarterback Michael Vick was burgalized
last month.

That same house has been the
subject of a dog fighting
investigation.

Among the items reportedly stolen
were three plasma televisions, a washer
and dryer and a leather sofa.

A prosecutor says he did
NOT think the theft was related to
evidence in the dog fighting
investigation.

He's the first of the team's
eleven draft picks to do so.

Clowney was selected in the fifth
round, 157th overall.

He was one of two Hokies picked

home yesterday afternoon in Daytona
Beach, Florida.

Many say no one, including
Richard Petty or Dale Earnhardt, had a
bigger impact on NASCAR than the
sport's former CEO.

2003 France followed in his father's :00 footsteps and took over the day to day
operations of NASCAR in 19-72.

He took it from a backwoods
southern sport and turned it into the
biggest spectator sport in America.

He was diagnosed with cancer in

remission, he handed off the day-to-day
duties of running NASCAR to his son,
Brian, in late 2003.

In March of this year, France
Jr. was admitted to Halifax Medical
Center in Daytona but was released to
his doctor's care.

Bill France Junior was 74 years
old.

Among other things, he made
NASCAR a fixture on TV and put the
Winston in Winston Cup with R- J
Reynolds 35 years ago.
