Southwestern Virginia.

About fifty of them turned out for

63-year-old momento with the family who
longed for a token of remembrance...

Private William Clark's dog tag, given
back to his family today...

Clark was killed in the D-Day
landing.

His tag buried under sand for five
decades in France...UNTIL a collector
found it five years ago.....

Eventually the tag was turned over
to the Director at the Bedford D-Day
memorial and he tracked down Clark's
surviving relatives.

Clark's first cousin accepted the
dog tag with another cousin in
Huntingdon, Tennessee.

But now an effort to get trucks off
the interstate and onto the rails is
inching forward.

If the financing works out,
Norfolk Southern will upgrade a section
of rails that would speed up cargo
shipments.

And divert truck traffic from
interstate 81, in the process.

The Crescent Corridor project
will run parallel to I-81.

The 40 million dollar project
would move cargo back and forth between
Louisiana and New Jersey.

into Virginia Tech and the Hokie Spirit
Memorial Fund.

Today, the university
announced that 3-point-two million
dollars has been moved into 32 separate
endowed funds-- one for each of the 32
people murdered on April 16th.

Tech is still working with
the victims' families to determine what
each fund will be used for.

The Hokie Spirit Memorial

Fund has brought in about seven million
dollars so far.

Hope turned to horror as they
announced the discovery of a body,

A happier ending to the case of a
missing Connecticut girl.....

After a year of police believing the
15-year-old was dead, she was found a
hidden room under the stairs.

The home was in Connecticut and is
owned by business associates of the
girl's parents.

Police were there serving a
warrant...

Investigators say it doens't look

like she was living in the room but was
pale, indicating she hadn't been
outside in a while.

VO-NAT The FDA came under fire today during

a house hearing.... Lawmakers are
criticizing the F-D-A for failing to
protect

consumers.

One doctor said he was threatened
by the drug company that made Avandia
after raising safety concerns.

But this doctor, Steven Nissen
did, publishing a study saying the drug
led to a 43 percent higher chance of
having a heart attack.

He is the same doctor who blew the
whistle on Vioxx and the link to heart
attacks back in 2001..

to the schedule on Friday due to

The Titans will now play at 10am while
the Knights will kickoff at Noon.

Billy Donovan and the Orlando Magic
will part ways less than a week after
Donovan agreed to become the team's
head coach.

tonight saying they have granted
Donovan permission to break his
commitment and return to the Florida
Gators. The Magic would not explain any
details of the agreement. Donovan had
agreed to a deal that would have paid
him 5 and a half million bucks per
season. He will likely be banned from
taking an NBA coaching job for the next
five years.
