we'll see mostly sunny skies today with
highs climbing to near 80.

122 South at Route 801 in Bedford
County near Staunton River High School.
State Police say that around 4:30 this
morning a truck hauling lumber
overturned and lost some of its load.

The driver was flown to Roanoke
Memorial Hospital. No other
vehicles were involved.

Traffic is being re-routed around
the accident while crews clean up the
scene.

and Fork Mountain areas south of Rocky
Mount around 9 p.m.

trees.

With the ice on the ground mixing
with the falling rain, it caused the

temperature to drop suddenly, resulting
in a dense fog over the entire area.

Rescue crews were left with the
challenge of responding to calls with
only a few feet of visability in front
of them.

One house was completely
destroyed.

market area.

through some trees, and overturned.

invasion as a boy brought those
memories to the Roanoke Valley.
