we'll see mostly sunny skies today with
highs climbing to near 80.

There's accident scene on Route
122 South at Route 801 in Bedford
County near Staunton River High School.
State Police say that around 4:30 this
morning a truck hauling lumber
overturned and lost some of its load.
The driver was flown to Roanoke
Memorial Hospital. No other
vehicles were involved.
Traffic is being re-routed around
the accident while crews clean up the
scene.

damage in Franklin County last night .

and Fork Mountain areas south of Rocky
Mount around 9 p.m.

Last Night large hail, helped to bring down large
trees.
With the ice on the ground mixing
with the falling rain, it caused the
temperature to drop suddenly, resulting
in a dense fog over the entire area.
Rescue crews were left with the
challenge of responding to calls with
only a few feet of visability in front
of them.
One house was completely
destroyed.

into possible changes for the downtown
market area.

deal with all the issues that has come
up recently regarding this area of
downtown.
There's been talk of removing
some of the stalls in the farmer's
market, moving them out in the street,
as well as relocating several

accident in Bedford County last night.

State Police say Cody Saunders of
Thaxton ran his pickup truck off the
roadway, struck an embankment, went
through some trees, and overturned.

the goats are back at the Old City
Cemetery in Lynchburg.

invasion as a boy brought those
memories to the Roanoke Valley.
