student will spend the next 6 months in
juvenile detention.

The 14-year old boy was convicted
of 13 felonies after admitting to
trying to sell stolen guns in school

He admitted to bringing the guns
to school on two occasions.. one of
those days was April 16th- the day of
the Tech shootings..

His mother turned him in and
police found 11 guns in a bookbag in
his home.

The guns were not loaded and he
never actually sold them.

two days and the man accused of
shooting and killing a pregnant woman
is nowhere in sight.

however to stumble across the suspect's
- Jason Faulkner's - getaway car this
morning.

It was abandoned about three
miles from the original crime scene.

Faulkner's accused of shooting
21-year-old Tasha Nowlin on Saturday
following a domestic dispute.

different kind in Washington....where
thousands of families who blame
childhood vaccines for their children's
autism are getting their chance to
speak.

The U-S court of federal claims
held their first of nine test cases
that could pave the way for thousands
of autistic children to get
compensation from a government fund.

More than 48 hundred families
have filed claims with the government
citing a preservative once used in the
vaccines as a cause of autism.

BUT scientific studies haven't
found any such link between the two.

If the families win in court,
they'd be entitled to compensation from
a multi-billion dollar trust fund.

The hearing is expected to last
three weeks.

crew, and passengers, of the schooner
Roseway hoisted her sail...

...they were charting a new
course.

Designed as a fishing boat and
built for racing, the Roseway has also
served as a pilot schooner, and a
windjammer.

But now the Boston-based World
Ocean School has big plans for the
boat, as the platform for a sail
training program.

Chief Mate Mike Teuteberg signed

As the Roseway passed the Norfolk
Naval Base, she had plenty of company,
including the schooner Bluenose II from
Nova Scotia, the barque Picton Castle
another Canadian vessel recently
featured in the CBS program Pirate
Master, and the ketch Royaliste with
crew dressed in period costumes.

Back on the Roseway, captain and
crew explained why they were aboard.

tall ships to the Norfolk waterfront.

As the Roseway approached its
berth near the Battleship Wisconsin,

the bench at Virginia Tech as the top
assistant to his brother Seth.

After helping lead the Hokies
back to the N-C-A-A Tournament this

Head Coaching Job at Radford.

auction takes place this Thursday night
at the Bast Center on the Roanoke
College campus.

Once again this year all proceeds
from the auction will go to the
Scholarship fund that was started in
honor of Roy after the 30 year WDBJ
sportscaster died in April of 2002.

have a chance to pick up a variety of
itesm ranging from autographed jerseys
to games tickets for ACC football and
basketball.

There are plenty of basketball
and football items and as always there
will be memoribilia from local and
regional stars, as well as national
players like Super Bowl MVP Peyton
Manning.

We also have some items from
University of Florida National
Championship Football Team.
