customers will see lower bills.
Thats when the state approved lower
rate takes effect.

percent rate hike and started charging
customers even before getting state
approval.
But last month the state State
Corporation Commission
said No to that large hike.. and only
granted a rate hike of about 3 percent.

for 1000 kwh it'll be about 66.72
2000 will be just under 125 dollars and
three thousand kilowatts will amount to
around 183 dollars.

basketball playing stars has moved onto
to the coaching ranks.
Katrina Williams is now the new
head women's basketball coach at
Averett.

Katrina basketball roots run deep
in the area. She helped Glenvar win a
state title in hoops. And then she
went onto to play at both Virginia Tech
and Roanoke College where she was named
the ODAC player of the year in 2003.
Last season she was an assistant
coach at Ferrum College where she
helped lead the Panthers to a
school-best 21-7 record.
She inherits a program that won
just 5 games last season.
