records.

the building.

On the second floor, walls have a
fresh coat of paint. Floors and
ceilings have been replaced.

And there is little evidence of
the violence that took 31 lives.

the victim's families of the Tech
shootings continues even to this day.

One project in particular has now
gone international.

It's called the Hokie Healing
Project and the whole idea is to make
32 blankets, one for each of the
families.

So owner of the Mosaic Yarn Shop
asked people from all over the country
to knit squares in the Hokie colors of
maroon and orange.

The group needed two thousand
squares, and it received more than six
thousand.They came in from all fifty
states and 18 different countries.

The first study of asthma in the
Commonwealth shows women, children, the
elderly and poor are most affected.

More than seven- percent of
adults and nine- percent of children
suffer from asthma in Virginia....
that's about three children in every
classroom of 30- students.

In 2004, hospital charges for
asthma reached 96- million- dollars.

The most common indoor- triggers

are second- hand- smoke, dust mites,
mold and cock- roaches.

Officials urge asthma sufferers
to stay away from triggers and take
their medication regularly.

rolling down the street this morning in
Rocky Mount.

The tractor parade kicked-off the
Antique Farm Days celebration this
weekend in Franklin County.

Take look at this tractor... it's this
Franklin County woman's pride and joy.

Deere tractor named "A Country Girl's
Dream" dressed in a matching pink
shirt.

safety improvements to a few schools.

The district wants to encourage
more students to bike or walk to and
from school.

Addison Middle School is one of
the schools slated for upgrades.

The city plans to extend this
greenway all the way to the school so

took a 22 revolver to school with him
in March could remain locked up for the
next six years.

term" of commitment, the harshest
punishment the 15-year old eighth
grader could have received.

He'll be released when he turns
21, possibly sooner.

The boy not only took the gun
plus ammo to school, he threatened to
kill the principal and the school
resource officer.

The judge said this was the first
person he's sent to the Department of
Juvenile Justice.

Judge Marcus Long has been on the

bench about two years.

information about city employees may
still be accessed online ... even while
they work to have it removed.

The information was immediately
