< case against disgraced prosecutor Mike

Through his lawyer, Nifong said the
trial had been fair:

APPROPRIATE PUNISHMENT.

But the three member commission said it
was up to them to choose the punishment
- and they did so quickly - calling

three Duke lacross players a fiasco,
driven by the D-A's self interests.

WHICH WE CAN DO - DISBARRMENT

The North Carolina State Bar had
brought 19 charges against Nifong
...Including that he withheld critical
DNA evidence, lied and publically
slandered the three players. Earlier
Saturday, the committee found the 56
year old prosecutor guilty of gross
misconduct in most of the charges.

(NAT) defendant willingly engaged in

Following the findings.Testimony from

a party in March of last year. Mary
Finnerty remembered getting the news
her son would be indicted:

Dave evan's father spoke of lying awake
night after night:

Nifong said he would wave all rights
for an appeal - but the players'
families say even with their sons
declared innocent - they will always
be remembered as the three duke
lacrosse players accused of rape.

NBC Sports Tiger was biding his time in :00 round three.

Steve Stricker put himself in the
hunt, holing out right here for a
birdie at 18, his third of the back
nine. Stricker is 6-over, four shots
off the lead.

As for Tiger, he was taking dead
aim today, hitting a whopping 17 of 18
greens. He fired a 1-under 69 and is
4-over for the tournament, in second
place all by himself.

Aussie Aaron Baddeley is the man

everybody is chasing. He'll be in the
final group with Tiger tomorrow after
he shot a second straight 70. Baddeley
is at 2-over.

Frederick came back to beat Potomac 9-8

Hillcats vs. Avalanche The Avalanche fell behind early, :00 but made the visitors plenty dizzy
before the night was over.

Early on, Lynchburg's Tony
Mansoino comes up with a base hit to
centerfield. That would bring home
Brad Corley to make it 1-nothing
Hillcats in the top of the 2nd.

To the third we go where
Salem's Rory Shortell uncorks a pitch
in the dirt. Shelby Ford comes in to
score and the home team trailed it by
two.

Still in the third, Jamie
Romak smacked a two run double plating
James Boone and Corley. Just like that
it was three-zip. *CG final Lynchburg But Salem came back to win it 5-4 in 4 the late innings. The same two will Salem close out the first half tomorrow at 2.
