They believe the vandals hit
between 2 and 6 o'clock Sunday morning.

Peggy Moyer heard a noise between

following what's believed to be a

drunk driving accident in Blacksburg
this weekend are out of the hospital.

Montgomery Regional yesterday when
police say 20 year-old Mary Bowen ran
off the road and into a crowd standing
along the sidewalk.

All of this took place on Main
Street.

Police say Bowen's blood alcohol

times the legal limit.

She's been charged with D-U-I.

of Covington was traveling south on
Dunlap Creek last night when he ran off
the road - into a bridge and landed in
a creek.

Garnett was flown to Roanoke

Memorial Hospital, where he died around
2AM.

- a party in Henry County ended with
gunshots leaving one person hurt.

Henry County Sherriff's Deputies
say 18-year-old Rashawnda Hunt was shot
in the lower back around midnight at a

party on Philpott Highway.

Authorities say Hunt was trying
to escape the gunfire when she got hit.

She was taken to Martinsville
Memorial Hospital for treatment.

to raise money for kids with
disabilities, but the selmer Tennessee
street show turned tragic when one of
the drag racing cars careened out of
control.

The race team says it happened during
an exhibition burnout ... When drivers
rev their engines and spin their tires
to heat them up and smoke. Witnesses
say the driver overcorrected, hit a
street pole and slammed into a crowd of
spectators saturday night. Several
others ran to help.

By Sunday, the death toll had risen to
six people ... With several more
injured. There was no guardrail where
the accident occurred, and now some are
asking why the event ever even took
place.

Virginia Boy's State program.

More than 800 rising seniors will
spend the next several days in on
campus learning the ins and outs of
state government.

The students will have a chance
to form their own fictional cities and
even elect officers.

Program workers say by the end of

understanding of the world around them.

knees this week, setting up a wide open
finish which saw six different players
share the lead at some point in the
final round.

NBC Sports Argentina's Angel Cabrera got to :00 the clubhouse early in great shape.
Cabrera was firing at the flag right
here. The nifty approach made for a
manageable birdie as Cabrera finished
at 5-over after a 1-under 69.

Jim Furyk was in the hunt. But
the former champ ran into trouble at
17. The tough chip out of the thick
stuff led to bogey and Furyk finished
one back tied for 2nd at 6-over.

Tiger Woods had a chance and he
drains this par putt at the 17th to
stay one off the pace, needing a birdie
at 18 to force a Monday playoff.

But he had a near impossible
putt from about 40 feet. Tiger gave it
a run but couldn't get it to drop and
Cabrera captured the Open title by one
shot. It's his first Tour title. He's
just the 2nd South American to win a
major championship.

his first Cup season, finishing third
in the Chase for the Nextel Cup. But
last season, Edwards found out about
the dreaded sophomore slump. It took
19 months, but today Edwards finally
found victory lane again.
