Roanoke neighborhood.

A number of people walked out of
their front door this morning - to
find their property vandalized.

Police say the damage was
widespread and the calls started coming
in around six this morning.

They believe the vandals hit
between 2 and 6 o'clock Sunday morning.

Peggy Moyer heard a noise between

Apppomattox has left one man dead.

Calvin Lee Megginson meg-in-son
of Concord was driving the lightweigh
car on Route 605 in the Stonewall-area
around 7:30 last night when State
Police say the driver of a Nissan
pickup hit him.

58-year-old Megginson meg-in-son
died at the scene.

The accident is under
investigation.

hospital.

police say the 20 year-old Mary Bowen
was driving ran off the road and into a
crowd standing along the sidewalk.

All of this took place on Main
Street.

Police say Bowen's blood alcohol

times the legal limit.

She's been charged with D-U-I.

- a party in Henry County ended with
gunshots leaving one person hurt.

Henry County Sherriff's Deputies
say 18-year-old Rashawnda Hunt was shot
in the lower back around midnight at a
party on Philpott Highway.

Authorities say Hunt was trying
to escape the gunfire when she got hit.

She was taken to Martinsville

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is
trying to determine what caused a race
car to lose control and careen into a

Witnesses say racecar drivers
were performing "burn-outs" when the
accident happened.

A "burn-out" is a race in which
the winning driver is first to go from

winds down. Five different golfers
have held a share of the lead this
afternoon, including Tiger Woods, Aaron

two back. The final groups are on the
back nine. We'll have some highlights
