She's a girl scout.

Parton was named a lifetime
member of Girl Scouts by her local
council last night during a
presentation at Dollywood.

She wasn't a member of the group

as a child.

But said she always wanted to be.

More than a thousand girl scouts
were on hand for the special ceremony.

East Tennessee's favorite
daughter cut up with the crowd and even
joked around about learning the girl
scout promise.
