SEEMS LIKE NEARLY EVERYONE ONLINE IS
USING SOME KIND OF SOCIAL NETWORKING
SITE TO STAY CONNECTED -- USUALLY THE
UBER-POPULAR MY-SPACE OR ITS TOP
COMPETITOR, FACEBOOK. BUT BEYOND
CONNECTING WITH THOUSANDS OF POTENTIAL
FRIENDS, WHAT CAN YOU REALLY DO THERE?
A TRIO OF SITES IS HOPING TO ANSWER
THAT QUESTION BY ADDING NEW LEVELS OF
FUNCTIONALITY TO THE EQUATION. :24SOT

:26OUTCUE:(nat-music) VO THE FIRST IS
CALLED FAMSTER. IT'S A SOCIAL
NETWORKING SITE AIMED AT KEEPING
FAMILIES CONNECTED, AND INCLUDES A HOST
OF TOOLS SUCH AS PHOTO ALBUMS,
CALENDARS, SCRAPBOOKS AND EVEN BLOGS.
FAMSTER IS SUBSCRIPTION-BASED -- WHICH
KEEPS IT FREE OF ADS -- AND ALSO ALLOWS
USERS TO KEEP THEIR PRIVATE INFORMATION
AND PHOTOS PRIVATE, WHILE ALLOWING YOU
TO INVITE AS MANY FAMILY MEMBERS YOU
WANT. GET RE-CONNECTED WITH YOUR OWN
FAMILY AT FAMSTER DOT-COM. :51SOT

:54OUTCUE:(nat-jet noise, music) VO IF
YOU'RE UP FOR AN ADVENTURE, YOU MIGHT
WANT TO CHECK OUT THE NEWLY-LAUNCHED
I-LOHO DOT-COM. THE ONLINE COMMUNITY

BLOG. TRAVELERS BROWSE EVERYTHING FROM
ARTICLES TO ITINERARIES POSTED BY OTHER

WELL. WHILE CONTENT ON THE SITE IS
SPARSE -- FOR NOW -- LINKS TO AIRFARE
FROM THE SITE'S ONLINE PARTNERS MAKE A
I-LOHO A GOOD PLACE TO START FOR
ANYBODY HOPING TO HIT THE ROAD THIS
SUMMER. 1:21SOT 1:23OUTCUE:(nat-music)
