whether the man accused of killing a
woman inside the Fairlawn Walmart can
withdraw a guilty plea.

again for Rodney Startz, who is charged
with first degree murder.

The judge delayed the case saying
a recent Virginia Supreme Court ruling
may affect his decision.

Startz is accused of walking into
the Fairlawn Walmart store last year
and killing his ex-girlfriend, Donna
Angelo.

Startz originally pled guilty to
the crime. Now he says
anti-depressants made him do it.

The judge will rule next month.

The grain silo near exit 109 on
interstate 81 caught fire early this
morning.

County officials are asking
people to quit calling 9-1-1 about the
fire.

Passing drivers can see the smoke
from the interstate & have been calling
all day.

Fire officials say some old corn
spontaneously combusted inside the 100
foot concrete structure.

They say flames rose 30 feet from
the base of the silo inside the
structure. It poses no risk and just
has to burn itself out.

EVENT=HEALTHCHECCK 7 BANNER at Virginia's mental health laws met

today in Fredericksburg.

The State's Supreme Court's

Commission on Mental Health Law Reform
is particularly interested in the
state's involuntary commitment laws.

Although the commission was formed
before the April killings at Virginia
Tech, panel members are mindful of the
mental health aspect of the tragedy.

The Commission chairman says
"NO one is satisfied with the current
situation."

He says the only question is how
sweeping the reforms should be.

They'll be considered during the
next General Assembly session.

Mountain Zoo family.

By offering visitors a look at
the Australian Red Kangaroo, the zoo
feels it offers visitors diversity and

in nine localities, including Nelson
County, but the most recognizable
scenes were filmed in Crozet- -just
outside Charlottesville.

That's where the giant ark was
built.

The storyline required a replica
of Noah's Ark be built in the Virginia
countryside.

Evan Almighty is one of the
largest projects shot in Virginia-
-bringing in an estimated 40- million
dollars.

The movie is a sequel to 'Bruce
Almighty'. It opens today.

only a couple of nights left in this
it's 36th year.

Fans come from all over the area
to check out the main attraction which
is the Horses of course.

But there is much more to the
longest running professional sporting
event here in the Roanoke Valley,
Intern reporter Chris Merritt found
that there are some subtle differences
that even the longest of tenured Horse
Show Fan may not even notice.

again this year. The 2007 edition marks
the first Roankoke Valley Horse Show
for course designer Alan Wade and Ring
master Albert Sabrsula.

Growing up in Ireland, the son of
a successful rider, Wade decided to
design courses rather than compete on
them, and with each course comes a lot
of planning.

After spending six months coming
up with ideas for the courses Wade
finally gets to see competition in them
this week.

However, before a rider and horse
can compete, they must be properly
introduced to the crowd.

And that's the job of the new
Ring Master Albert Sabrsula.

Sabrsula's final duties will
include taking part in Saturday night's
50 thousand dollar Grand Prix, which as
