district leader Marvin Thompson left

Thompson had been here just two

suffered another setback in West
Virginia.

Tucker Co., WV On Friday, the state Public
Service Commission rejected a
developer's application for a permit to
build a 50-turbine wind farm in
Pendleton County.

The P-S-C says the application
from Liberty Gap Wind Force L-L-C lacks
information on several key issues,
including the project's impact on
public viewsheds and bats.

A spokesman for a coalition of
wind farm developers in West Virginia
says it's unfortunate that the state is
moving backward on wind energy.

Plantation pro Chip Sullivan is making
a charge up the leaderboard at the
National Club Pro's Championship in
Sunriver, Oregon. Chip started the
third round today at even par, but is
currently on the back nine at 5-under
thru 12 holes, just a couple shots off
the lead. He needs to just finish in
the top 20 to make the PGA
Championship. But barring a major
setback on the homestretch he will
start Sunday's final round with a real
shot at winning.

dollar Grand Prix.

field of 10 riders on 16 horses.

Milwaukee Mile while the Cup guys are
set to hit the road again tomorrow in
Sonoma where Ricky Rudd shouldn't be
counted out.

Rudd won the inaugural Cup race
