Rita Bishop... will return to
Roanoke from....Lancaster (LAN-caster),
Pennsylvania... where she has served as
superintendent for the last three
years.

for Protection and Advocacy" told the
city it was in VIOLATION of the
"federal disabilities act" because of
problems with....entrances, parking,
and travel inside the building.

The city has been working to
correct the "deficiencies", and
disabled advocates say they're "very"
pleased with the results.

judge... on whether the man accused of
KILLING a woman inside the "Fairlawn"
Walmart...can withdraw his "guilty"
plea.

again for...Rodney Startz. He is
charged with first degree murder.

The judge DELAYED the case saying

a recent "Virginia Supreme Court"
ruling may affect... his decision.

Startz is accused of walking into
the Fairlawn Walmart store last year
and killing his ex-girlfriend, "Donna
Angelo".

Startz originally pled GUILTY to
the crime. Now he says
"anti-depressants" made him do it.

The judge will rule "next" month.

County could take DAYS to burn out.

The "grain silo" near exit 109 on
interstate 81... caught fire early
yesterday morning.

County officials... are asking
people to STOP calling 9-1-1... about
the fire.

Passing drivers who could see the
smoke from the interstate... were

calling all day.

Fire officials say some old
corn... "spontaneously combusted"...
inside the 100- foot concrete
structure.

They say flames rose... 30
feet... from the base of the silo
inside the structure.

It poses NO risk and just has to
burn itself out.

now "pitching- in" to get WATER to a
"Rockbridge County" community.

About "two-dozen" soldiers are
helping distribute water around the
town of "Goshen".

That area has been WITHOUT
reliable water since LAST week.

State, local and private
crews have been trying to REPAIR broken

water lines around the system... but as
soon as one's fixed, another turns up.

In the meantime, "thousands
of gallons" of BOTTLED water and
several water tankers have been brought
in.

"Portable" showers and
laundry facilities have also arrived.

down in central Iowa Friday.

tossed throughout a parking lot.

A convienent store sustained roof
and window damage.

Gas pumps and other items were
spread over the store's parking lot.

Power lines and trees are down.

Some take-offs were delayed up to

test off the coast of Hawaii.

The State's..."Supreme Court's
Commission on Mental Health Law
Reform"... is interested in the state's

Although the commission was

of the mental health aspect of the
tragedy.

The Commission chairman
says...NO ONE... is satisfied with the
current situation.

He says the only question... is

But when it came to "mortality rates"
within 30 days after initial admission
....Danville Regional Medical Center
fared worse than the national rate.

The Chief Medical Officer at
"Danville Regional Medical Center" says
more than a year ago, the medical
center recognized the need to improve
in those areas, and since then has made
a number of changes.

The web site findings were based on
Medicare data from July 2005 to June
2006.

for the New River Cave seminar in Giles
County.
