County teenagers was sentenced today
for his part in spray painting graffiti
all over Christiansburg High School.

:00 19 year-old Brandon Saunders was
found guilty of felony destruction of
property and trespassing.

He was fined and will spend two
months in jail.

In addition, Saunders will have
to pay restitution and perform 100
hours of community service.

In May of last year, he and two
other teenagers - Darren Mosier and
Terry Epperly - painted racial slurs,
swastikas and sexual images on the
outside of the school.

Mosier and Epperly got similar

sentences.

jail for hitting and killing a Virginia
Tech student with his vehicle.

VO-NAT 21 year old Aaron Pierce will

spend 30 days in jail for the death of
18 year old Brian McCloskey.

Police say Pierce ran over
McCloskey early one morning as he was
shuttling people to and from a party.

hit anyone and says it's all a tragic
accident.

Virginia's sentencing guidelines
do NOT call for any jail time for
involuntary manslaughter, but
McCloskey's family pushed for some time
behind bars.

evacuated, several more diverted from
Danville Regional Medical Center.

For some patients surgery was
postponed... all because of a bomb
scare this morning.

It happened around 10:30 when an
electrician found a suspicious device
in a locked mechanical room.

Police were notified and patients
from Tower A were moved to other areas
of the hospital.

A state police robot was
eventually able to "deactivate" the
device around 2:45 this afternoon.

Investigators say while the
object looked like a pipe bomb -it was
probably some left-over building
material from years ago.

Several roads around the hospital

were closed today and some residents
were temporarily evacuated as a
preventive measure.

than a week away, but now other changes
on the way at Randolph college.... a
smaller staff.

today it's cutting its staff by
15-percent.

That means about 35 full and
part-time positions will be eliminated.

According to the school's
spokeswoman -none of the academic
programs will be affected by the

Saying the cuts are an effort to

It was just last year the college

decided to go co-ed after operating as
a single-sex institution for
116-years.

and residents in central Canada over
the weekend.

This is just one of at least
three tornadoes that touched down
friday near Winnipeg, Manitoba.

No one was hurt, but the twisters

Ohio woman and her unborn child made
his first appearance in court today.

been set for five million dollars.

He's accused of murdering his
girlfriend Jesse Davis..and her unborn
child.

However, he claims he's innocent.

Investigators believe Cutts was

Authorities also arrested a high
school friend of Cutts.

She has been charged with
obstruction of justice for lying to
investigators.

Meanwhile, authorities are still
trying to piece together the events

A judge has ruled in favor of a
dry cleaner who was sued for 54 million
dollars.

The accuser claimed the company
violated the city's consumer protection
laws because they advertised guaranteed

satisfaction, but did not pay him one
thousand dollars for the lost pants.

The judge in the case rejected
that claim, and ordered the accuser to
pay the court costs of the cleaners.

certain section today.

some routine test last week.

Health officials say a dirty

Rick Hendrick have made it known that
they would like to somehow get the
Number 8 from Dale Earnhardt
Incorporated. Hendrick even stating
that he wasn't sure what D-E-I would
want for the number. But some type of
payment will not happen. Nascar says

that they own and lease the numbers out
and if a team doesn't want a number
they have been using they can give it
back and have it reassigned and that
there can be no team to team swap of
