TNT Early in the race, Matt Kenseth :00 drove into the side of Kyle Petty,
setting off a minor dustup.

Then Kasey Kahne had a little
road rage where Bobby Labonte was
concerned.

In the pits, it was no better
for Johnny Sauter, who got rammed by
his teammate Jeff Green.

Several of the contenders ran
out of gas coming to the finish.

Montoya gambled on fuel and won,
taking the checkered flag ahead of
Kevin Harvick and Jeff Burton.

He's the first foreign- born driver to
win in Nascar's elite series since 19-

*CG breaknow PIERCE SENTENCE

Breaking news at this hour from
Montgomery County.

A Roanoke man, will serve 30 days in
jail for an accident that killed a
Virginia Tech student 19 months ago.
But there may never be a conviction on
his record.

ENG#= VO-NAT

VO-NAT 21 year old Aaron Pierce was charged

with accidentally running over 18 year
old Brian McCloskey in November of
2005.

It happened late at night on a walking
trail that used to be a popular
short-cut for motorists.

Pierce entered an Alford Plea earlier
this year, which means he admits there
was enoug evidence to convict him
without actually admaitting guilt.

Today, a judge revoked his bond and
sentenced him to 30 days plus 300 hours
of community service, and driver
license revocation for one year. But
the judge deferred any conviction, and
Pierce may avoid having his on his
record if he avoids any other legal
troubles for the next three years.
