woman threw herself in the Roanoke
River yesterday.

Police believe she was trying to
take her own life.

afternoon. She said her neighbor was

Not water.. but fire cuasing trouble
near near Lake Tahoe California--
stronger winds this afternoon means the
wildfire burning there could threaten
homes in the affluent lake
neighborhoods.

The blaze has already forced
thousands of residents to flee and has
destroyed nearly 200 homes.

Yesterday, officials believed they
had a handle on the eastern edge of the
fire. But strong winds fanned the
flames once again.

be on hand for the opener that Saturday
as the Hokies host East Carolina.

Gameday will begin at 10am on

Saturday September first and continue
right up until kickoff at Noon from
Lane Stadium.

Blackbburg to originate Game Day
festivities.

their game to Hunting Hills for the
second round.

for a town in Norway.

Reindeer have invaded the small
town of Hammerfest making town
officials scratch their heads.

The town usually accepts these
animals as a natural part of the city.

But recently the reindeer created a
nuisance for locals.

Town officials have done their
best to keep the reindeer out, but
because of holes in a guard fence they
keep returning.
