Franklin County minister should stand
trial.

She was pastor of Snow Creek
Christian Church in Rocky Mount.

Church members found Copin dead

taking a twisty turn on Bent Mountain
yesterday morning.

The driver, 35-year-old Steven
Langley of North Carolina lost control
of the tractor trailer around 8 A-M
along Route 221 between Moonlight and
Strawberry Lanes.

The 18 wheeler was carrying

fireworks when it turned over.

Haz-mat crews were forced to
drain the fuel from the truck before
the vehicle could be removed from the
road.

Traffic was backed up for hours
as crews cleared the area of any
potential risks.

Both lanes reopened around 9
o-clock last night.

Woman's College is a thing of the past.

The school's name was changed to
Randolph College over the weekend.

It's just the latest in a string
of changes that the college's board of
trustees has enacted for the school.

Randolph College will begin
accepting male students this fall.

The school will also have a man
at the helm when John Klein takes over
as the college's ninth president next
month.

One Roanoke girl was the highest

that took effect yesterday is abuser
fees.

If you're caught driving
recklessly or under the influence of

alcohol or drugs, you can be fined
anywhere from 750- to three- thousand
dollars.

That money will be put into the
state's highway maintenance fund.

Drivers who can't pay up will
lose their license.

Children have to be fastened into
a booster seat until their 8th
birthday.

Up until now, the law only
required safety seats for kids through
the age of five.

Also, rear-facing child seats
must be buckled into the back seat of
the vehicle unless there is no backseat
- in which case, the airbag in the
front seat has to be deactivated.
