law after allegedly selling illegal
fireworks.

Natasha, authorities say it was
the second largest seizure ever in
Franklin County.

fact, law enforcement had to cart them
away in several pick up trucks.

The busts happened this week at
the Boones Mill Pottery on Route 220 as
well as the Hilltop Mulch Nursery in
Wirtz.

The fire marshal says all in all
they seized nearly forty thousand
dollars worth of illegal fireworks.

He hopes both incidents will send
a message to buyers and sellers.

fireworks ended with three deaths.

Police say a neighbor asked the
people next door to keep the noise down
while they were shooting off fireworks
early yesterday morning.

Investigators say when the noise
continued, he opened fire shooting five
people in all.

A police officer who lived nearby
heard the shooting and arrested the
neighbor, an off duty firefighter.

Police are still gathering
evidence and interviewing witnesses but
no charges have been filed yet.

Clifton Forge are on the lookout for
stray cats.

Society so they can be watched for

Feinberg was the special master
of the nine eleven victims fund.

He plans to meet with the victims
families to find out how they want the

effect for dozens of counties in
California, Arizona and Nevada. Las

trying to take off at an airport in
Mexico today.

White House aide Lewis Libby has paid a
250 thousand dollar fine...

after his being convicted for lying to
investigators about a leak of a C-I-A
operative's name.

President Bush commuted Libby's
30 month prison sentence on Monday, but

declined to set aside the quarter
million dollar fine.

Meanwhile, there's a disagreement
over Libby's probation.

The judge in the case says he
can't serve probation because his
sentence was commuted before he did any
prison time...saying quote "the statute
authorizing the imposition of
supervised releases indicates that such
release should occur only after the
defendant has already served a term of
imprisonment."

in the second half of the Carolina
League season.

But this week's series with the
Lynchburg Hillcats has gone a long way
toward getting the last place Avalanche

back on its feet.
