It happened early this morning on

Interstate 77 south at mile marker 20
which is north of Hillsville.

Witness told authorities that a
car traveling too fast, ran up under a
tractor trailer causing them both to
wreck.

Both vehicles caught fire.

The driver of the car was
airlifted to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

And the driver of the tractor
trailer was taken to the hospital and
has been treated and released.

ANIMATION HOLD left southbound lane and the left
shoulder of Interstate 77 at mile

second largest bust of illegal
fireworks in Franklin County.

It happened this week at two well
known businesses, the Boones Mill
Pottery on Route 220 and Hilltop Mulch
in Wirtz.

There, the fire marshal says he
caught employees selling illegal
fireworks out of a shed.

At Boones Mill Pottery, authorities
sent in an informant after getting a
tip.

All together, the fire marshal says
they seized several truck loads of
fireworks worth nearly forty thousand
dollars.

GRAPHIC=FARM DEATHS Funeral services were held

yesterday for four members of the
Showalter family who were killed in a
farming tragedy.

Cars lined the street outside of
a church in Rockingham County where the
Mennonite Community gathered to mourn
the family.

Scott Showalter, his wife and two
of their children were killed Monday
after accidentally inhaling a deadly
dose of methane gas.

The sheriff's office believes
Showalter climbed into a manure pit to
fix a pump and was overcome by methane
fumes.

recovered 32 bodies from a bus that was
buried in landslide Wednesday.

yesterday to reach victims of the mud
slide that swept down a mountainside
and buried the bus carrying up to 60
passengers.

Soldiers and rescue workers braved

between 40 and 60 people, but it's
impossible to know the exact number of
passengers because the bus made stops
along the way.

Carroll County this morning.

It happened early this morning on
Interstate 77 south at mile marker 20
which is north of Hillsville.

Witness told authorities that a
car traveling too fast, ran up under a
tractor trailer causing them both to
wreck.

Both vehicles caught fire.

The driver of the car was
airlifted to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

And the driver of the tractor
trailer was taken to the hospital and
has been treated and released.

in Franklin County are in trouble with
the law after allegedly selling illegal
fireworks.

It happened this week at the Boones
Mill Pottery on Route 220 and Hilltop
Mulch in Wirtz.

There, the fire marshal says he
caught employees selling illegal

fireworks out of a shed.

At Boones Mill Pottery, authorities
sent in an informant after getting a
tip.

Altogether, the fire marshal says
they seized several truck loads of
fireworks worth nearly forty thousand
dollars.

Searchers have recovered 32 bodies
so far.

car traveling too fast, ran up under a
tractor trailer causing them both to

The driver of the car was
airlifted to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

trailer was taken to the hospital and
has been treated and released.

second largest bust of illegal
fireworks in Franklin County.

known businesses, the Boones Mill
Pottery on Route 220 and Hilltop Mulch
in Wirtz.

There, the fire marshal says he
caught employees selling illegal
fireworks out of a shed.

At Boones Mill Pottery, authorities
sent in an informant after getting a
tip.

Altogether, the fire marshal says
they seized several truck loads of
fireworks worth nearly forty thousand
dollars.

yesterday for four members of the
Showalter family who were killed in a
farming tragedy.

Mennonite Community gathered to mourn
the family.

Scott Showalter, his wife and two
of their children were killed Monday

Feinberg was the special master
of the nine eleven victims fund.

He plans to meet with the victims

families to find out how they want the

Witness told authorities that a
car traveling too fast, ran up under a
tractor trailer causing them both to
wreck.

Rockingham County yesterday for four
members of the Showalter family.

Scott Showalter, his wife and two
of their children were killed Monday
after accidentally inhaling a deadly
dose of methane gas.

A farm hand was also killed.
